Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordinand at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident from the moment she started attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Following her initial audition and placing among the top two athletes in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in just 10 weeks. Felix completed her high school year in 2003 and was signed by Adidas an agreement as professional athlete. The following year she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record in the 200-meter race with a time of 22.18. She became the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at the Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo always finishing in the top three of her competitions.
