Aisha Hinds is an American actress best known for playing roles in the TV shows The Shield and True Blood. The versatility of her character has been shown in TV series including 9-1-1 Detroit 1, 8-7 and Under the Dome since she made her debut with an acting role in 2003. Her first recognition came from her role as Anna in the film Assault on Precinct 13. But it was her role as feminist campaigner Fannie Lou Hamer from the documentary film All the Way that finally earned her acclaim as an actor. Hind's portrayal as Harriet Tubman on WGN America's historical drama Underground was also highly praised. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. The show was renewed for a third season from 20th Century Fox Television. Hind is currently filming the Hollywood feature Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The film will be released around the middle of 2019. The actress returned to Bollywood to make the cult Dhoom: 2 (2006) prior to releasing Provoked: A True Story (2006) in English. Abhishek Bachchan was a frequent actor and son of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan. In April 2007 she got married to her. The marriage united two powerful Bollywood personalities.
